A diver umbilical cable is the critical composite lifeline connecting surface support to a surface-supplied commercial diver. Our high-flex diving umbilical integrates breathing gas hoses, pneumofathometer tubing, communication conductors, optional video/data cables and dedicated strength members into one kink-resistant marine assembly, built for continuous underwater handling, offshore operations and inshore diving work.
Unlike separate loose hoses and cables, a factory-twisted diver umbilical reduces snags, abrasion and entanglement. The high-flex construction maintains bend performance during repeated movement around structures, vessel hulls and uneven seabeds, while the seawater-resistant PUR outer jacket protects against saltwater, marine growth, oil and mechanical wear.
3 Part & 4 Part Diving Umbilical Configurations
We supply standard and custom 3 part and 4 part diver umbilical assemblies, the most common options for surface supply diving:
3 Part Diver Umbilical: Breathing air hose, pneumofathometer (pneumo) depth line, communication cable with integrated strength member. Widely used for air diving, inspection and maintenance tasks.
4 Part Diver Umbilical: Adds video or light cable alongside air, pneumo and communications. Ideal for CCTV monitoring, underwater inspection, salvage and construction where topside supervisors require live diver vision.
All elements are laid with balanced twist geometry to avoid torque and kinking. The strength member carries tension loads separately from gas and signal paths, so pulling the umbilical does not stress hoses or electrical cores.
